AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, September 10, 2009 (IBC2009, Stand 7.G20) — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announced that its Landmark™ software has been selected by Discovery Networks to serve as the media sales solution in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region. The Harris solution will manage advertising sales across Discovery's broad European operations. "As the Discovery ad sales business across EMEA continues to grow, we need to ensure that we have the best-in-class systems and software," said Chris Shaw, head of commercial development, EMEA and U.K., at Discovery Networks. "The Landmark sales system will improve our inventory management and campaign delivery abilities, and will give us greater flexibility to respond to change." Landmark provides tools to help media companies manage pricing based on supply and demand. Better efficiencies in booking spots and real-time reporting of ad sales revenue and campaign delivery information enhance sales effectiveness and drive increased return on available inventory value. The Landmark solution will be used by Discovery across a number of locations in Europe, including its offices in the Nordic, Benelux and Central European regions, as well as its international advertising sales offices in London. Additional channels will be added as Discovery continues to expand.
