WASHINGTON, DC/ MELBOURNE, FL, December 20, 2011 — The Department of Homeland Security has approved Harris Corporation's mentor-protégé agreement with Unissant, Inc. The Department's mentor-protégé program encourages large, established prime contractors to assist in the development and maturation of small, disadvantaged businesses' technical and management capabilities to provide greater assurance of successful contract performance.

Under the three-year program, Harris will assist Unissant compete for contracts and other related business opportunities with the Department of Homeland Security. Harris will train Unissant employees on program management and the business acquisition process, as well as support Unissant's initiative to attain Capability Maturity Model® Integration Level 4 and Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification.
