Matrox ConvertIP Encoders/Decoders for Standards-based 4K AV-over-IP Networks Now Shipping

ConvertIP standards-based, IPMX-ready encoders/decoders enable AV systems integrators to deliver lossless, zero-latency 4K IP signals over interoperable and scalable 1/10/25 GbE networks

MONTREAL — December 6, 2022 — Matrox® Video today announced the availability of the ConvertIP standards-based, IPMX-ready encoders and decoders. The award-winning ConvertIP encoders/decoders provide AV systems integrators with a new level of AV-over-IP design flexibility to build interoperable, scalable, and cost-efficient AV infrastructures. Featuring multiple connectivity options—including HDBaseT—compressed and uncompressed support, and a fanless design, these standalone devices support lossless, zero-latency 4K signals over 1, 10, and 25 GbE AV-over-IP networks.

Built on Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX), the Pro AV market's emerging set of open standards and specifications for AV over IP, the IPMX-ready ConvertIP encoder/decoder line facilitates the integration of new products and platforms into existing or future networks while supporting 4K60 4:4:4 IP signal transport. Combining encoder or decoder functionality on compact, PoE+-powered devices further simplifies integration efforts, while ConvertIP's fanless and redundant design ensures reliable 24/7 operation across a wide range of AV/IT environments.

"AV integrators today are seeing that open standards unlock the true potential of how AV-over-IP networks should be deployed," Ron Berty, business development manager, Matrox Video. "Matrox ConvertIP Series encoders and decoders act as a bridge by allowing users to add technologies to build and extend their AV-over-IP networks. An inclusive, interoperable approach based on true open standards puts the power into the hands of the integrator so they can leverage and optimize 1, 10, or 25 GbE networks as required, without any limitations or restrictions."

Events

Matrox ConvertIP Series will be demonstrated live at ISE 2023, in stand 5C500, from January 31-February 3.
