Posted on Monday, September 12, 2011
Locust Valley, NY - Looking to strengthen its expanding presence in the government A/V market, MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems has hired Walter Bridges as its new Vice President of Government Sales. Bridges, who will be based in Cocoa Beach, Fla., brings a wealth of contacts as well as an intimate knowledge of technology solutions, specific government agency requirements, and navigating the unique contract procurement process.
“We’re please to welcome such a talented executive to the MultiDyne family and have high hopes that Walter will build our government sales beyond what is already a burgeoning business for MultiDyne,” said Frank Jachetta, Managing Director at MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems. “Our customers expect our sale force to be knowledgeable and helpful to their needs and that’s exactly what Walter brings to this new position. He’ll make a great addition.”
With more than 24 years of experience selling audio and video systems to Government and Department of Defense agencies, as well as producing a variety of live newscasts and video production projects, Bridges is the right man for the job. Prior to MultiDyne, Bridges founded and ran his own company, calledSouthern Digital Products, Inc., in Huntsville, Ala., where he secured the only GSA contract among local vendors that specifically dealt with broadcast and audio-visual presentation equipment and integration services. He also served as Sales and Systems Consultant for Gray Communications, and worked as a Production manager at WSLA-TV/WAKA-TV, in Selma Ala., where he produced local commercials and directed numerous daily newscasts.
"I’m looking forward to leveraging my extensive knowledge of audio and video products and technology solutions in order to find the right solutions to our government customers’ unique requirements," Bridges said. “Customers will also appreciate that I have a knack for helping them stay within their budgets while still achieving their ultimate goals. It’s a pleasure to be working with the MultiDyne team.”
Along with a variety of industry awards and achievements, Bridges founded the local (Huntsville) chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) in 1987. He’s a graduate of the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), with degrees in Sports Medicine and Broadcast Communications.
