The RUBIDIUM Series by Alpermann + Velte offers the highest amount of flexibility and comfort with its modular design. From comprehensive redundant systems, all the way to affordable single module applications, you find the housing design and price that your project requires. Modules can be inserted in any order into the slots of the housing. Each slot position has its own address within the communal housing identification system.

This enables a specific identification of each module within a bigger system. Alias names can be given to the hard-stamped numerical address via the supplied configuration software. Every module is connected to an internal hot swappable bus, which bilaterally connects all modules within a particular housing. The internal bus can be distributed over several housings by using the RLC port. The RLC -plug contains a voltage feed, a failure relay output and a TC-link interface. TC-link is a real time capable proprietary interface, which is based on a customized RS485 interface.

  • Fail signals are produced by a relay contact. Normally a contact closer indicates a breakdown or programmed failure occurrence
  • Relays of all modules are in parallel operation. Each module and T1 housings are equipped with their own relay
  • Slot of the frame only differ by its individual, hard wired address and each frame has an ID address
  • Module can individually be configured (e.g. the time code and video modules, except the power supply modules), can be located by their addresses
