The SRG-4500 adds UHD while keeping all the stability, features and value that you’ve come to trust from its predecessor, the SRG-4400.

The SRG-4500 is a 1RU state of the art master reference and 3G / HD / SD SDI and UHD test signal generator designed to exacting specifications. The SRG-4500 is the ideal choice for supplying all the required reference timing and test signals needed in today’s complex broadcast facilities.

It provides all the required reference timing signals to precisely time complex broadcast facilities, including: Black Burst, Tri-Level Sync, Word Clock, and DARS. Additionally, the SRG-4500 provides flexible timecode generation delivered through dedicated LTC outputs or embedded VITC through analog and SDI video outputs.

The SRG-4500 features 4 independent 3G-SDI pattern generators, each providing pattern and black outputs. Each output can be embedded with user-selectable test tones and VITC. The test pattern generators feature moving ID slates, ideal for verifying remote links. With the UHD option, pattern generators can be paired to produce quad-link UHD patterns in either 2SI or Quad-Division multiplex formats.

The SRG-4500 ships standard with hot swappable dual power supplies which are accessible from the front panel. Adding the companion ACO-4500, Automatic Changeover unit, the SRG-4500 supplies the reliability needed in modern facility timing systems.

The SRG-4500 comes with advanced networking control via the Ross DashBoard control system. The SRG-4500 also has NTP (Network Time Protocol), GPS time synchronization, and UHD Quad link output options.

Redundancy and Master / Slave Operations

The SRG-4500 is designed to run as a master in standalone or under an external reference input. Where it is critical to have a backup master reference, the ACO-4500 auto changeover unit complements the SRG-4500. This can be user configured to monitor and changeover analog video, SDI video, timecode and AES/EBU digital audio signals.
