Telemetrics Expands Control Interface Options

For Sony Cameras at NAB

Telemetrics Implements Sony Camera Control via Sony’s new CNA-1 Gateway Along with Single Cable Camera Robotics Control Connectivity Using Sony’s HDCU-2000 Base Station Ethernet Capability

Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2012) – Telemetrics Inc. today announced it has added new compatibility between Telemetrics camera control systems and the Sony CAN-1 Gateway and HDCU- 2000 Fiber Basestation.

Sony’s CAN-1 Gateway provides a gateway interface between Telemetrics’ control system and Sony Cameras, allowing access to all cameras on Sony’s ethernet network.  This provides seamless operation between Telemetrics camera controls and Sony Camera Control Panels. Shown are the Telemetrics RCP, Sony CNA-1 Gateway, Sony MSU-2000, Sony HDCU-2000 Base Station and Sony HDC-2500 Camera.

“We are proud of our continued collaboration with Sony in providing efficient control systems for camera robotics. It is to the advantage of our customers who choose these products,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.

According to Mr. Cuomo, Sony’s CAN-1 Gateway provides an interface between Telemetrics control systems and Sony HDC 2000 series cameras, allowing access to all cameras on Sony’s Ethernet network. Users benefit from a seamless operation between Telemetrics camera controls and Sony camera control panels.

Telemetrics has also implemented a single cable solution using Sony’s HDCU-2000 base station’s Ethernet trunk capability. By connecting the Telemetrics control system to the HDCU-2000 network trunk, the Ethernet data is combined into the base station’s fiber cable. The HDC-2500 camera breaks out the Ethernet and connects to the Telemetrics PT-RM-1 (Remote/Manual Pan/Tilt unit).
